Mahogany Granite

Mahogany granite (sometimes known as Swedish Mahogany) is a mottled granite made up of browns, blacks, creams and greys in a fairly small mottle. Patches of darker and lighter areas give the worktops a lot of life and a very natural warm appeal. Mahogany worktops have a rustic appeal that gives an elegant and refined feel to any space.

The natural earthy look of Mahogany Granite worktops lends itself to traditionally styled kitchen units shaker and arched doors especially. The warm tones work particularly well as a compliment to creams (as shown below) and light woods such as birch, maple and light oak. The reddish brown though can also work well with warm cherry units.

Mahogany Granite worktops from Affordable Granite may also be a consideration as a compliment to wooden worktops maybe as a more durable option for the area surrounding the sink and draining around a Belfast/butler sink. (Wooden worktops are more prone to water damage from standing water) or possibly Mahogany granite worktops could be the wow factor for a central island feature.
