Surrey Granite Worktops are our bread and butter. We have been a proudly Surrey-based kitchen worktop company from our very beginning, when our office was in Brockham and our manufacturing plant here in Charlwood. Most of our staff come in from Surrey towns: Managing Director – Guildford, Granite Worktop Workshop Manager – Dorking, Sales and Office Manager – Caterham. And so it goes, with staff in Horley, Charlwood itself, East Grinstead, Croydon and further into London. We do have a few Sussex outliers in Crawley, but most of us are Surrey Granite Worktop People!

As you might expect, the quality of Surrey homes is high, with a steady demand for high quality kitchens. For us at AG, that means granite and quartz worktops. There are so many it is hard to pick any out, but we have done plenty of work with Crown in Dorking and Lewis Charles of Oxted. These are kitchen / building companies who work to a high standard; we are proud to “top off” their installations with our granite countertops.

Surrey has more trees than any other county – it really is leafy, with nearly a quarter of the county covered by woodland. It is an area of great beauty – not the austere grandeur of mountains and moorlands, but a kind of quintessential, homely Englishness. If the county’s location on historic trade routes gave it its wealth in times past, it is that quality of pleasant Englishness while being on the very doorstep of London which is its big draw.

The North Downs Line – little red train just visible here – is one of England’s most scenic railways, and a bit of a well-kept secret in my opinion.
Surrey homes include a number of significant and famous houses of real splendour. That doesn’t just mean the National Trust type places, like Polesden Lacey, Ham House or Goddards, but many beautifully designed and built dwellings which represent the very best in British architecture for their time. We often find ourselves installing granite worktops in outstanding Surrey kitchens.
