The history of Çimstone Quartz at Affordable Granite goes back a long way. Some of the first quartz we installed was from this Turkish company, which offered a solid, reliable and economical alternative to some of the bigger Spanish and Italian firms. In those days, though, Çimstone was not particularly interesting or imaginative – we tended to see the firm as forever playing catch-up behind the innovations of the big boys. Different tastes in kitchen design and quartz worktops in Turkey probably played a part too.

All that has changed in recent years. Çimstone is now big in the export market – and their designs really have caught right up with the firms from Western Europe. And they are STILL reliable, solid and more economical. This has to be a win-win. Their Cortina quartz is currently our biggest seller by value, with other colours also forming an important part of our offering. With a large Northamptonshire warehouse and helpful sales staff out on the road, Çimstone have really invested in their relationship with worktop fabricator customers like ourselves.

Like other “quartz” materials, Çimstone is made up of around 93% natural stone plus glass and other “hard” content, with about 7% polymer and pigment. Quartz worktops offer high scratch and abrasion resistance. We are delighted to recommend Çimstone quartz to our customers.
