HOW TO FIND AFFORDABLE GRANITE

How to find Affordable Granite

Every weekday people visit the Affordable Granite office and showroom. Probably every week, if not every day, some people have problems finding us. Some end up on other farms before calling us for help. And those are just the ones we hear about!

Our Contact Page has full arrival instructions, of course, with our What3Words reference and various tips if you are using a satnav. And our home page has the map shown here at right. We hope you have all you need to locate Surrey’s best granite and quartz worktops emporium!

For postal contact, we are here:

Affordable Granite Surrey Ltd
Unit 5, John Lory Farm,
Norwood Hill Road,
Charlwood
Surrey, RH6 0EB

Our What3Words reference – print.meal.prep – brings you all the way to the front door of our showroom and office. For customers (rather than stone delivery drivers!) this is exactly where you need to be.

How to find Affordable Granite using your eyes - from the South

If you’re driving here and would rather keep your eyes on the road than follow a SatNav, these images will help guide you. Most of our customers approach along the road from Charlwood heading north, and the pictures below should make that journey easier.

If you are approaching from Charlwood village just south of us, you need to leave the village and watch out for the end of the 30 limit. The 40 signs are to either side on a wooded bend, with white fences. We are the first farm on the right and you are nearly here…

The road straightens and drops slightly …

You should see this sign in the hedgerow to your left…

A bit further along, the bend opens up to reveal the farm entrance. Turn right just before the red brick wall by the farmhouse—if you hit it, the wall will win!

This is the sign on that wall at the farm entrance.

How to find Affordable Granite using your eyes - from the North

If you’re coming from Norwood Hill, Leigh, Betchworth, or Brockham to the north, you’ll spend more time out in the countryside. There’s a fairly steep descent along Norwood Hill Road from the Fox Revived pub at the top, after which the road levels out onto the flat area around Gatwick Airport.

The Fox Revived is not only a good landmark, but a good pub. If we have visiting granite worktop customers who are looking for a decent lunch in our area, this is where we point them: great food, well-cared-for beer and a relaxed atmosphere.

After descending the steeper stretch of Norwood Hill Road, the route carries on along a flat section for roughly 0.8 miles. As you pass a handful of cottages on your right and follow a gentle right-hand curve, look out for the John Lory Farm sign on your left, partially concealed by the hedgerow.

The actual entrance to the farm is easy to miss when approaching from the north. Once you reach this point, be ready to make a fairly sharp left turn immediately after the farm building that’s just visible on the left. If you reach the village (line of houses on your left, followed by the village hall) you have missed us.

How to find Affordable Granite once you are on John Lory Farm

All visitors to John Lory Farm use this single main entrance. Approaching from any other direction is likely to lead to a dead end—and you may even end up with your vehicle splattered with cattle muck. The photos here reflect what everyone will see on arrival.

You turn right in here.

Drive into the farm…

You will fairly quickly see this view, with the big farmhouse on your left. You are going to pass it and then go left before Charlwood Volvo.

This handy map and plan are seen on the side of the barn that faces you as you drive onto the farm.

This is Charlwood Automotive, the Volvo servicing specialists. For the Affordable Granite showroom and office you need to go left here.

Drive pass the massive Outdoor Volvo Museum and you will see stables in the distance.

At the end of the line of Volvos you will see this manure pile to your left. The level of poo rises and falls over time, but we are very rarely short of equine excrement.

On your right are the John Lory Farm stables – with this handy sign showing the way to Affordable Granite and Nick Geard Fine Furniture. As of March 2026, the sign has been slightly eaten by a horse. That small part of it presumably forms part of the pile to your left.

Affordable Granite’s yard on John Lory Farm

As you pass the stables and enter our yard, watch out for the wonderful cars which are serviced at RACE. Please avoid hitting them.

At the end of the yard, on the right, you will see the one-time turkey shed, now the Affordable Granite Office and Showroom …

… and you’ve found us – the AG Sales and Office team.
