The best way to get a price for your granite or quartz kitchen worktops is to send us a plan of your kitchen with a quotation request. But it is perfectly possible to get a fair idea of granite, ceramic or quartz worktop prices for your kitchen by using the table below.

In the example, the joins allow three lengths of worktop at less than 2500mm to be used.

What about thinner, 20mm worktops in quartz?

Thinner worktops can look very good on some modern units. In general, we do not recommend using natural stones at 20mm, but quartz (engineered stone) is fine. As a rule of thumb 20mm quartz costs around 15-18% less than 30mm, depending on the manufacturer and on the material involved. Obviously, upstands, windowsills and splashbacks which are 20mm anyway see no reduction, and other labour costs remain the same. The overall saving for many kitchens is in the region of 7-11%, depending on the proportion of the total cost locked up in the material.

Upstands are reckoned in lengths of 1250mm. Given the tensile strength of quartz, we can generally make longer upstands, but they still often have more joins that their corresponding worktops. Allow enough lengths to be more than enough, so as to avoid too many joins.
