This kitchen in Tunbridge Wells, Kent was installed by HKS Interiors. The kitchen has classically beautiful in-frame door joinery – English Cabinets by Edwin Loxley, a supplier that HKS have used many times. Traditional chrome cup handles on drawers and appliances complement chrome knobs on drawers and hinged doors. The light grey units, white walls and white quartz worktops create a light and neutral space, which can then be dressed with dramatic colour – bright red brings life and vibrance into the room.

The cabinets house good quality appliances: Miele single oven and combi, Franke boiling water tap, Falmec extractor, Neff built under fridge and Neff dishwasher.

Our quartz worktop installation features a truly massive splashback behind the ovens and hob, in 20mm thick Affordable White quartz. Practical and beautiful – I like the reflections of the hood lights in the stone.

The sink area backs onto a hatchway into the dining room. It has a slightly unusual quartz worktop layout, with upstands, an extra-high upstand behind the sink, running up to a 30mm thick hatchway stone shelf / breakfast bar, on the dining room side. Neatly done, with curved corners on the bar for comfort, and very practical for rapid passing of crockery etc. back into the kitchen.

Simply White quartz is incorporated into the dresser unit at one end of the room. The detail of the draw dovetailing and manufacturer’s mark shows off the simple, neat lines of the relatively hard-edged bevel on our 30mm thick quartz worktops.

AG Simply White Quartz was our first venture into branding a stock stone for ourselves. We had many people looking for economical, pure white quartz, at a time when prices and quality were very variable. We decided to shop around and to keep monitoring products as they became available. By giving our white quartz our own brand name, we have had the flexibility to source what has been the best for value and consistency at any given time.

And Simply White has sold! By offering a decently pure white at an affordable price, with our own branding and guarantee behind it, we have had a lot of very satisfied customers. Whiter materials are available (from Silestone and Compac to name but two) but you will pay MUCH more. And the purer the white, in some ways the harder it is to live with…

I am sure that is what drew Mr and Mrs B of Tunbridge Wells to quartz worktops in Simply White – great look, great practicality and great value for money.
