Granite is so hard we can only cut it with diamonds, while its dense grain makes it difficult to stain, especially in dark stones. With no two quarries producing exactly the same stone, the variety of natural stones available from across the world is breathtaking.
Quartz is man-made, using stone and a polymer resin. It is non-porous, so eradicates under-surface staining. With the huge range of colours and looks available, you are spoiled for choice. Whatever the look of your kitchen, there is a stone worktop for you!

We have been in business as Affordable Granite for nearly 20 years. Our recent use of the AG Worktops brand reflects the diversifying of our market and our own role in it. Our customers are still expecting great value in kitchen worktops, but are also looking for the very best quality, with exacting standards of customer service and excellence in installation. The very best is what we offer.
Whichever name you know us by, be assured of our commitment to you, our customer. We never sub-contract, using our own highly experienced team to template and fit worktops which we cut and polish in our well-equipped Surrey workshop. This ensures a perfect fit and stunning results every time.

We offer our Full Service (template, manufacture, delivery and installation) in London and the Home Counties.
For central London and for the more distant parts of our area, an additional travel charge may be included in your quotation. In practice this means that all of Surrey and Sussex, London South of the South Circular, most of Kent and Middlesex, and parts of Hampshire, Berkshire and Essex incur no additional charge.
We are also often found to be competitive in slightly more distant areas, where the lack of more local firms means that we are regularly called on. We occasionally work in Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Suffolk, and even further afield at times.
If you are any further away a template service will be uneconomical. You should be able to find a more local firm who can beat us on price. We would strongly recommend looking for a company that is part of the Worktop Fabricators Federation. The Federation exists to promote high quality and health & safety standards in Worktop Manufacture and Installation - we are proud to be founder members!
