So this would be my second year in a row working at Affordable Granite over the summer period. I have really learnt a lot over the short period of my time here. I am currently at university studying within the fashion industry; by working at Affordable Granite it has really taught me a lot about business structure but also about sales; even though it is not a typical specific field of fashion there is many aspects of the company that I have learnt, which I will definitely put in to practice.
Not only focusing on basic admin day to day jobs, I feel like I have great responsibilities within the team. I am constantly having direct contact with all customers which are really improving my customer service skills. I also believe that my knowledge of the business has improved dramatically. It’s rewarding when talking to customers and providing them with accurate information about granite, Quartz and Dekton which I may not have known of beforehand.
I do not just feel like a summer temp, but now a member of their lovely team. I feel like the Affordable Granite team have really welcomed me with arms wide open (hence why I asked to come back); it’s like a small little family.
Everyone here has such passion for their jobs and drive on their customer satisfaction; it’s been an eye opener to see how hard everyone works not just in the office but all the lads in the workshop; many work through the evenings and the weekends to get the jobs done. It has been a pleasure to work for Affordable Granite, they are such an amazing company; I would highly recommend them to any of my friends of family that are interested in worktops, but also a professional and reliable service.
