Classic Quartz: The Affordable Marble-Look

CLASSIC QUARTZ is a lesser known brand with a lot to offer

People often ask us about the difference between big and small brands of quartz worktop. Big brands tend to be more expensive, but they are known, and having a big name in your kitchen can make a difference to the resale value of a house, for instance. As with any other product, there are several factors: you pay for the name, you pay for cutting-edge research and development, you pay for great customer service and after-sales care, and, to some degree, you pay for better quality.

But we all know that quality and brand don’t always go hand in hand. Nor even customer service and after sales care. Most of us at some point have bought a high-end item, only to feel we have had a distinctly low-end experience.

And the reverse is also true: sometimes we have bought a relatively budget-price product and been delighted with the quality and value for money.  Big name and high price doesn’t always mean better, and lower price doesn’t always mean keep away. We think that Classic Quartz are carving themselves a niche in the quartz worktop market at just that point.

Silestone and Caesarstone have long had highly realistic natural marble-look stones on offer. Cambria has also been strong in this field. Other firms have really been playing catch-up with these market (and product development) leaders.

Classic Quartz really does seem to have narrowed the gap. They have gone to town on marble, with a large number of relatively similar stones. Their products have in common a sort of translucent quality which echoes the way real marble absorbs and reflects light.

Classic Quartz Olympia just arrived in our warehouse and workshop

Classic Quartz Olympia is a recent addition to the Classic Quartz range. We think that it is a step up from the already popular Marbre Carrara in terms of whiteness, subtle-patterning, realism and pizzazz. We like it very much and are thinking of stocking it as our new marble-look quartz. What do you think?

For more information about Olympia and other materials in the Classic Quartz range, do have a look at their website.  We would genuinely value feedback on which materials we should stock. Why not pop in to see our materials and to get a quotation for your kitchen worktops – whether for a new kitchen or upgrading by just replacing the tops.
