Culliford Slabs & Celandines: Signs of spring at AG
Culliford of Kingston is one of the UK’s best known and most highly respected suppliers of quality granite, quartz and other finished stones for the building industry. Taking an order for some lovely slabs of their Piracema Satinato this morning (I’ll photograph THAT when it comes in) I realised just how much of their stone we currently have passing through the factory.
A sudden rush of bespoke material is a sure sign that the slow winter period (and what a dragging winter it’s been!) is coming to an end and home renovation is back and going full swing. Spring is here!

Blue sky at AG – it’s been a long time coming!
Juparana Bordeaux is one of the richest-coloured stones we ever handle, full of the rich reds of the wine after which it is named. If you are looking for something relaly striking, this amazing Brazilian stone is a regular at Gerald Culliford.

Culliford is the main UK importer of Radianz quartz for worktops. Here a slab of 20mm Rio – the Radianz take on the classic big-vein, Calacatta look – gets it’s first cut on the bridge saw.
Culliford is also the UK agent for Lundhs – the luxury Scandinavian brand for natural stones. We have recently taken delivery of some lovely slabs of Labrador Antique, one of my favourite granites. Rich brown with an amazing amount of blue flashing, this is one of the best examples I have seen of this stone type.Â
One of the joys of working at AG is just being on the farm. Especially for a city boy like me, getting out into the sights and sounds (if not smells!) of the country is a big bonus. Here are a few more signs of spring…
