AG WORKTOP REFURBISHMENTS

One kind of “labour only” work for which we have created a special package is worktop refurbishments. We are a specialist stone worktop installation company. Stone worktop refurbishment is a specialist activity and not part of our core business. Nevertheless, one aspect of an all-round aftercare service to our customers is to offer a general stone refurbishment package. For our existing customers, where we installed the stone to be refurbished, there will be an automatic discount for this service.

Please note that, for some materials and certain types of repair, it may be still best to use a specialist repair company, and we can recommend some good options for this. In fact, we won’t hesitate to tell you when it is clear that you would be better off using a specialist restorer.

Please tell us who you are and where you live. This is essential if you are a former customer, but in all cases we will price / evaluate feasibility of refurbishments according to distance, so we need to know.

Please tell us what you need to be done. A verbal description is good, but photos of the worktops are essential. Can we please see the whole area of the kitchen in two or three pics, and then close-ups of any particular problem areas: stains, dropped-joins, chips etc..

Our general stone worktop refurbishment package covers the following:

• Re-levelling of 2 joins
• Re-dressing bevels up to 12 linear metres (bespoke profiles POA)
• Re-dressing top bevel of any polished sink cut-out
• Re-silicone between up-stands and worktop up to 12 linear metres
• White caulk behind upstands.
• Deep Clean of the top face (not re-polish)
• Re-seal of the whole surface (in natural stones)

Please note that:

• chip repair is not included unless chips are small and on the edge, where simply re-dressing the bevels will eradicate them.
• we will not attempt to repair the face as part of this package.
• we are currently only able to offer this package within one hours drive of Charlwood
• customers will be required to sign a disclaimer – our fitters will take all possible care during their work, but sometimes damage occurs during the process of re-polishing (for instance). In that situation the company cannot be held responsible for replacement of the worktops.
• the cost is from £300 depending on distance and any access issues

Each chip repair has to be assessed based on material, size and location. For very plain materials, we would recommend a bespoke repairer. If AG can undertake a chip repair, our price is from £90.
