Who doesn’t love Brighton?! As manufacturers and installers of quartz worktops, Brighton with its design-mindset, high employment and strong tradition of home-improvement, is natural market for us. Brighton is one of the most vibrant, creative and exciting towns in the UK. Many people here love natural stone (read ‘granite worktops’) but quartz – especially the brighter and wilder designs – is also seriously popular with Brightonians.

With the kitchen working surface market dominated by gentle whites, greys and beiges, it is lovely to install some quartz worktops which pack a real punch. There are some striking designs out there, both in colour and pattern. Brighton has a share of bland-looking quartz worktops, but for us it seems to be a place where more people are a bit bolder. The intense blue of Cambria’s amazing Skye can help create that seaside vibe, while the powerful contrast and striking marbling of Silestone Eternal Marquina really stand out on contemporary white kitchen units.

From the Affordable Granite kitchen worktop factory at John Lory Farm to the heart of Brighton is less than one hour’s drive. Hardly surprising, then, that we are often down on the coast. Our only issue that does arise with granite and quartz worktop installations in Brighton and Hove is parking, and occasionally difficult steps and other access issues. Please make sure that you inform us of any challenges when you ask us to quote for your quartz worktops!
I lived just a short distance from Brighton for many years – as a student and then as a long-term resident in Mid Sussex. For me, the place is synonymous with creativity. As a photographer I have been here many times – commissions for businesses and bands, mainly. I find it vibrant and fun, and I love my other job, helping Brighton people find the right kitchen worktop.

When I think Brighton creativity, I guess it is music that springs to mind first. I have been to more gigs – and photographed more bands – in Brighton than in any other town. I love the variety, the unconventionality, the perpetual slightly louche lairiness, and the energy and vibrance of the place.
