Quartz and Granite Kitchen Worktops and Trends this Autumn

Unlike fast fashion, kitchen trends – including worktops – need to last for years, not just the one season. Which is why when looking at autumn trends, I wanted to look beyond glossy magazines and write about what our customers have been choosing recently—timeless kitchen styles that stay beautiful and practical through every season.
Warm Worktops
We’ve noticed more and more people falling in love with warm-toned worktops. Soft, natural shades with golden or bronze veins are becoming the go-to choice for kitchens that feel stylish yet inviting.
For a subtle look, something like Unistone Taj Mahal brings a swirl of warmth that’s timeless and works well with a wide range of kitchen unit colours and styles.
If you’re after more of a statement look, Calacatta-inspired designs such as Horizonstone Calacatta Bronzite or Sapienstone Calacatta Macchia Vecchia Porcelain creates a striking focal point the moment you walk into the room.
Wooden Doors: A Natural Pairing
Seamless indoor-outdoor living is a dream for many, and while big glass doors and bi-folds make that easy in summer, wood kitchen cabinets bring the connection to nature year-round.
Wood is back in a big way, and it’s the perfect match for granite or quartz worktops. Light oaks feel bright and airy, while dark walnuts add depth and luxury. Whether you’re into rustic shaker styles or sleek modern designs, wood cabinetry with natural stone is a timeless pairing that never goes out of style.
Colour in the Kitchen
We are seeing colour creeping into kitchen design. It started with deep navy and forest green cabinets, but now we’re seeing bolder shades, even a few pink kitchens! And it’s not just units, statement worktops are stealing the show too.
Some of my recent favourites we’ve had delivered to our workshop are CRL Cristallo Azure, a striking blue quartz with warm, dark veining; Verde Italia Granite, a dramatic dark stone with sweeping green tones. Or for something softer, Classic Quartz Neptune brings lighter green shades with lightning-like veins, adding personality while staying versatile for modern kitchens.
