CHRISTMAS GREETINGS – HOLIDAY CLOSURE

Dear Customers, Suppliers and Friends of the Company

So this is Christmas – and what have we done? Installed a very large number of granite and quartz worktops, that’s what! It’s been a busy and fruitful year here at AG, and we are looking forward to more of the same, recession or not, in 2023. While prime ministers and chancellors seem to have come and gone faster than sausage rolls at Greggs, we have gone on doing our thing, with a happily stable staff team.

It has been an interesting year, staff wise. For the first time in anyone’s memory, not one but two members of the team have had babies – or their other halves have, anyway! We congratulate both Bruno and Faread on their growing families. At the other end of life, we have also seen several staff members facing the loss of some of their closest family and friends. All of this has meant, at times, short staffing in one area or another, but it has also underlined our cohesiveness as a family firm. The joy of one is a shared joy, and so are the hard times too.

The kitchen worktop industry has continued to develop, very much along the lines of the trends we noted this time last year. We have installed lots of white marble-look quartz – some big-patterned black granite – with a bit of a return of classics like Black Galaxy and the evergreen Steel Grey. Newer and better ceramic-type materials have come onto the market and we are slowly seeing customers begin to choose them . Prices have continued to rise, and we don’t think the end of the inflationary uptick is in sight yet.

Once again, we are sending this Christmas card in lieu of printed versions; once again we are supporting a charity. Not for the first time, it is the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity – in aid of the hospital which has done so much to help many of our loved ones. Use Ctrl + Click to read more about their amazing work.
