Well, here we are – Cosentino have recognised Affordable Granite as a Gold Fabricator. Robert Wickham, their rep, recently popped over and presented Andy Phillips with our plaque. Having Gold status means we are able to sell all products from the Cosentino Ranges as they come out, rather than having to wait for a period. The Cosentino ranges are:
Silestone. One of the best known and most respected brands of engineered stone, or quartz, for worktops, Silestone has been a market leader for years. It is a brand against which other brands compare themselves, in itself a gold standard in worktop design and durability. We already stock a number of Silestone colours, including all of their sparkly Stellar range, and we have also frequently fitted worktops in their marbly Lyra and Lagoon, the new and economical Coral Clay, the stylish Aluminio Nube and the futuristic Platinum range.
Eco. Cosentino were pioneers in producing an environmentally-friendly option in quartz worktops. The Eco materials look like any other engineered stone, but with the Cosentino design flare, and are made entirely from recycled materials bound together with a resin that comes from sustainable, vegetable sources. These product are high-end, and not simply because (like many eco products) of the way they are made, but because they have particularly striking designs and look as good as they cost.
Dekton. We were proud to be one of the first stockists of Dekton here in the UK. This revolutionary material moves away from the resin-based technology which is the common factor between all 
manufacturers of quartz. Instead of being glued together with a plastic, in Dekton the mineral content is fused together by heat and pressure – just like in a metamorphic rock. With the characteristics of a ceramic or natural stone, Dekton is non-porous, very hard indeed, and incredibly resistant to staining. It is also available in amazing colours and textures, and in bookmatched designs as well.
Sensa. Sensa granite is natural stone, but natural stone that has been carefully selected and quality controlled, and then deep-treated with a sealant so as to make the material far more proof against staining in the long term. This granite costs more than standard stone, but for some customers, that difference has been worthwhile.
