Cosmic White Granite
I quoted in a number of stones for Mr and Mrs B’s new granite worktops just a few weeks ago. The Redhill couple visited our workshop and showroom, and liked the look of various materials, but especially the Cosmic White that we have on the island in the showroom. (See here for more on that installation.) We didn’t have enough Cosmic White Granite in stock for their kitchen, so I wrote to several suppliers, asking for prices and images of what they had. These two bold, dark slabs from regular suppliers Granite Granite of Essex caught their eye. We can see why! Fantastic patterning, with a excellently smooth polished surface, no obvious flaws at all – these are the best Cosmic White granite slabs we have yet seen. So much Wow! Factor for your money! If you want a natural look, in a monochrome colourway, and want BIG pattern, then this stone may be for you! We look forward to cutting and installing.

Caesarstone Excava
The other day I attended the launch for various new Caesarstone materials on the South Bank in London. It was a big design and architectural party – cocktails flowing, canapes flying, disco throbbing and hundreds of happy people. Not too much info on the products, though. However, having had a sneak, behind-the-secret-curtain preview at the KBB show (see here), I knew something of what to expect.
Now we have our first slabs of Excava in the warehouse. Here is the trend to Industrial-look, rough-chic writ large. A fantastically liveable with, practical stone, with the kind of warmer tones on the basic grey that are so much on trend at the moment. We love it – we think many people are going to like it too.
