EASTER HOLIDAYS AND SPRING CLOSING DATES

Well... all of a sudden... the sun came out!

It has felt like a long winter! But this week the sun arrived and all of a sudden, what with the clocks changing ‘n’ all, spring was here!

It has been a busy winter for us, and we have had a few struggles with members of staff facing ill health – there own or close family. We have been pushed to organise the templating and fitting slots at times, but have got through and actually had our biggest March ever. Huge thanks to the hard work of the Admin, Workshop and Fitting teams for actually delivering everything that we in Sales throw at them!

And, equally suddenly, Easter is upon us. We are following the pattern of having both Good Friday and Easter Monday off – with no opening in between. So we close today (Maundy Thursday) and reopen next Tuesday morning 11 April. We will be closed on the other bank holidays this Spring. Please see our Contact Page for details about how and when we work.

We wish all our customers and friends in the industry a very happy Easter – the season for new starts at every level. Here are a few pics taken around the farm over the last week.

Blue sky at AG – it’s been a long time coming!

One of last year’s goats – still smallish – I guess miniature. Their bleating has brought to life the appropriateness of the word “kids”

Fresh horse chestnut leaves always remind me of rabbit’s ears – or the awesomely annoying Jar Jar Binks

One of the joys of working at AG is having RACE – Road And Competition Engineering – as neighbours. They are great guys to have around, and provide us with a steady stream of automotive eye candy. It isn’t all blossom and flowers on the farm! This stunning GT40 is “just” a replica, but still wows me. And good-looking E-Types are here almost every week.

Catkins out this Easter on John Lory farm

Can you name that catkin? This one looks a bit different to me… not sure what it is.

All of us here at Affordable Granite join in wishing you a happy Easter. We look forward to seeing you after the Easter break – and as we head into the most Bank Holiday Spring ever! (Thank you, your Majesty!)
