I lived in Haywards Heath myself for many years, for five of them selling granite and quartz worktops at Affordable Granite. I know that, all things being equal, the commute from HH to our Charlwood factory, warehouse and office takes about half an hour – which puts the West Sussex town right on our doorstep in terms of economical granite worktop installations. Unsurprisingly, we are there often on templating and fitting trips.

I have fitted Black Pearl granite worktops myself in a flat I own in the Haywards Heath. Great value, very robust, liveable-with and beautiful, Black Pearl granite worktops are a frequent choice for people who, like me, are looking to upgrade a property prior to letting it out. Given the strong rental market in Haywards Heath (the proximity of Gatwick airport with its flight crew needs helps there!) I don’t think I’m alone in going down this route.

Superb showroom kitchen at HKS – very few kitchen companies have the nerve to just go for it with one full scale kitchen as their main display. We loved helping them put in this one, with Sensa Colonial White granite worktops ready for the Haywards Heath market!
Haywards Heath grew because of the railway – the line was unwanted by neighbouring Lindfield and Cuckfield, and as a result the hamlet between them became a significant town. How many Haywards Heath commuters come home to affordable granite worktops? A fair few!
Among the more eccentrically-named eateries of Mid-Sussex is Haywards Heath’s own Sycho Snacks.
Catering mainly for the station cabby trade and a renowned centre for bacon butties, I think the renowned cafe is currently still sans granite worktops.
