IT’S CHRISTMAS!

And so we come to the end of 2025. Thank you, as ever, for your business. The year has ended well here at Affordable Granite, and we hope it is ending well for you too.

As with previous years, 2025 has not been altogether easy in our industry. We have our own niche in a complex market – you could sum us up as “top quality installations at an affordable price” – and maintaining a reputation for both quality and affordability is a challenge. One big step for us this year has been the development and launch of the AG Stoneworks brand, which has enabled us to promote our high-end credentials to customers who might be less than enthusiastic about our original name.

We have seen a marked growth in the luxury end of the market, with technically demanding installations in some truly lovely materials. Features such as vein-matching and mitred or fancy edge profiles are often applied to valuable but fragile natural stones and ceramics. This leads to high risk but very satisfying work which really challenges our excellent workshop and fitting teams. The waterjet cutter has been a key to the quality and throughput that we now routinely achieve.

Our team has been fairly stable through the year, and I think that the firm has more of a family feel than ever. 2025 saw no AG weddings, but thankfully no funerals of close relatives either. Some of the lads attempted a 100km walk for charity in the summer – falling a bit short, but a fantastic effort nonetheless. They were walking in aid of CALM – the Campaign Against Living Miserably, the young people’s mental health charity – and we will be making a further donation to CALM in lieu of sending traditional cards.
