New Year 2023 - Inflation Matters
We seem to have been living with difficult news for a long time now. Or perhaps we have got used to a new normal! However you view it, the building and home improvements sectors haven’t felt quite normal since 2015, with the Brexit vote, Brexit itself, Covid and the war in Ukraine all having an impact on currency, commodity and labour markets. As regular readers of our blog will know, the inflation that has taken hold in Western economies is being felt in our industry too, and we are expecting yet another round of price rises in the New Year. These will be on materials – slabs of granite and quartz for kitchen worktops will go up in price – again. It’s too hot out there!

We are very conscious of the impact of round after round of price rises on the kitchen industry. Our product is the best thing available for your kitchen – you just can’t beat the quality, luxury and wow factor of solid stone worktops in granite or quartz – but we know that there are cheaper alterantives and we recognise the pressures on our customers. This is one reason why we continue to maintain “entry level” options like Lunar Quartz or Black Pearl granite in our range – we want to keep the Affordable in our name and represent the best possible value.

Our commitment as we approach the end of 2022 is that we will freeze 2022 prices for any orders placed for the New Year, however far into 2023 your kitchen worktops installation is programmed to be. You may be looking at late spring for your kitchen work – get a freezable quote now and place an order before Christmas and you can rest easy so far as granite worktop price rises are concerned!Â
Given the inflationary pressures we are all facing, our price freeze is something to put a bit of cheer into your the coldest months, let alone your kitchen planning!

There is no real small print with this one. Any quote created (or updated) from 1 September 2022 onwards will be honoured for installations at any point into 2023 if the order is placed with deposit paid before the end of this year. Bear in mind that we will be shut from Christmas to New Year, though!
