1810 Company and Cosentino London: two visits in one day
1810 Company
A week or so back, Cassie and I paid a visit to the 1810 Company London showroom.
The event was a training day on the 1810 range, together with training on the Schock range too. Schock have recently bought 1810, meaning that the two brands can both be supplied through the 1810 Company’s established UK marketing and customer service structure.
The old Agricultural Hall in Islington is a magnificent building, well worth a visit in its own right. We hada good time meeting 1810 people together with a nyumber of kitchen company people.

The 1810 Company has grown as much as it has done in the UK through a consistent policy of taking an interest in the market represented by people like us. Some of the big sink companies regard local granite and quartz worktop fabricators as being too small to bother with; 1810 recognised an opportunity, and by working with people like us, having become a big sink company!

We love the Henry Holt Collection taps from 1810
Perhaps the most eye-catching sink we have ever seen – this Ferrari-red topmount from Schock really is different!

Cosentino London
While we were in Islington, it made sense for us to visit another London landmark for quartz worktop manufacturer – the Cosentino showroom near Old Street.
Cosentino London is on the move. I was present for the opening of the current showroom, and this will surely be my last visit. Watch this space for news of their new site!
Cosentino is, of course, the company behind the well-known brands Silestone, Dekton and Sensa – one of the biggest names in quartz and granite worktops!

It was Cass’ first visit to the showroom – and we realised why Cosentino staff who have met her have done a double-take. She and showroom manager Sasha seem to be sisters!
A quick snap from Blackfriars station on my way home – a good day!
