Master of Stone: Caesarstone's Certificate for Dust Control Standards
For some time our industry has been taking a long hard look at the dangers of crystalline silica dust.
As we wrote in a blog a couple of years ago, we are very conscious of the potential health and safety concerns which arise from all cutting of natural rock and engineered stones – the very materials known in many homes through granite and quartz worktops. We work hard on minimising risk from airborne dust, and we are thankful for help from our friends at Caesarstone UK who have set up an online course – Master of Stone – to assist with training on the hazards and control of dust.
Here at Affordable Granite we have made it a priority to get all staff aware of the dangers of crystalline silica dust. Everyone was encouraged to complete the Caesarstone online training and we recently had a visit from our Caesarstone rep, Sandra Burgess, to present us all with certificates for completing and passing the Master of Stone Course.
