CAMBRIA QUARTZ & KASHMIR LIME GRANITE

Cambria Quartz and Kashmir Lime Granite in our Warehouse

Every so often we seem to have a spate of interesting materials through the warehouse. This week was one of them. All three of the new “Cambria Brittanicca” variants have passed through on the way to discerning (and on trend!) customers, and we have also received some stunning slabs of Kashmir Lime Granite. Given how long the natural stone has waited to have its photograph taken, let’s start there…

Kashmir Lime Granite

Close up of Kashmir Lime Granite

We always used to joke about Kashmir White Granite – “It isn’t really granite, it isn’t really white, and it certainly isn’t from Kashmir!” I suspect that much the same could be said about Kashmir Lime, except that the stone does have enough green in it to more or less deserve the name.

We don’t know how variable this material may prove to be. We only know that the slabs we have seen are pretty stunning, with swirls of green, beige, grey and soft pink, and that the wholesale price is pretty reasonable. Our first slabs were snapped up quickly – don’t hesitate to contact us if you are interested!

Cambria Quartz

Ever since it was first introduced into the UK, Cambria quartz has been a rapidly growing brand, especially for people interested in high quality, exciting and vibrant engineered stone. Made in the USA and imported by our wholesale friends at Granite Granite, Cambria is not a cheap alternative – it is one of the leading edge brands that the copy-cats are trying to emulate. We find it lovely to work with, both on the saws, in the polishing shop, and on fitting, and we have thus far had zero issues from customers who have installed Cambria Quartz worktops.

Cambria Quartz has established itself quickly, and especially the Brittanicca. This marble-look quartz has set the gold standard for the big-veined look. As a very reasonable result, Cambria have been working on variants. Having perfected a look, why reinvent the wheel when you can just ring the changes? It is these Cambria Brittanicca variants which we have seen over the last week or so.
