Here at Affordable Granite we all love a good film. We are proud to unveil our latest – a case study in “Green Stone” (actually in Kashmir Lime granite) – which should be a forthcoming part of a real case study with details of the kitchen etc. The kitchen is in Lingfield, Surrey, a village where we have installed many granite and quartz worktops over the years.Â
We follow the whole process of making worktops from real, natural, stone, from template through to worktop installation. The video really showcases the skills and involvement of our MD, Andy Phillips, who templated this job and was on site for the fit too. This is the most detailed film we have ever had about our process and machinery, with really specialist kit like the big CNCs and the Gorilla seam maker (“granite bending tool”!) featuring too.
The video was made by Ashton Mayne of Splashdog Media. It was effectively a spin off from his excellent “introductory video” for us made last year. (See blog on the history of AG videos.)
One of the striking things in the film is the combination of skill and sheer strength required to install stone worktops. The location of the house, up 16 steps, and the size of the island make this installation a fascinating watch.
And we love the reaction of the homeowner to her new granite worktops at the end!
