Big-vein marble-look quartz worktops
In the last week we have received slabs of two popular white marble-look materials for quartz worktops. These are Silestone Eternal Calacatta Gold and Classic Quartz Alaska Bianca.

Silestone and Classic Quartz
Silestone is one of the great brands of the engineered stone business – they have been in quartz worktops since the very start of the industry. Classic Quartz is a relative newcomer – a new and more economical brand looking to take market share of the giants. In general, I would tend to say that “me too” brands lag behind the innovators in beauty and design. But in this case, I think the “delicate but definite” veining on the Alaska Bianco product really has the edge. The Silestone looks relatively anaemic by comparison. What do you think?

We now have TWO ex-display table tops for sale. The Dekton Halo has been mentioned before – now at only £80, this is an opportunity to pick up a superb, thin profile (20mm) circular tabletop, worth over £200, for an absolute song. A warm white, incredibly easy to keen, superbly scratch resistant, useable indoors and out – this Dekton product deserves to go to a good home. Call us and it’s yours!
We also now have a square (800mm sides) tabletop in red, sparkly Recife quartz from Cimstone. This is a bold, bright stone which suits contemporary or 70s style retro rooms. Ideal top for a coffee table. Only £40 to the first caller.
