The London Loop is a footpath that encircles Greater London, covering a distance of approximately 150 miles (240 kilometers). It was officially opened in 2001 as a way for people to explore the diverse landscapes, historic sites, and green spaces in and around London.

The West Wickham area is much sought after, and this is reflected in house prices. Addington (just to the south) is less expensive, but by and large, West Wickham is comparable to Shirley, Sanderstead, Hayes and Bromley.
